debit
Well the Devil now officially owns my soul for the next 30yrs. We bought a new house about a month ago and went down to the bank to sign all the papers and so they could show us how much money we owed them. I was prepared however, i had my trusty anti-hyperventilation bag with me (f.y.i. didn't work) so i had to use my old friend and stand by Mr. Jack D. which did the job just fine. If you have ever gone through this process of having your life put under a microscope you know the feeling. The people at the bank begin the process by first getting this really evil smile on their face, they then proceed to show you about a thousand different ways you can go into debit and make it look like you robbing them blind. I do however commend the loan officer helping us though, he didn't start his evil chuckle until we had left his office. I showed him, in a rare and uncharacteristic move, I stole his pen. | | Sunday, April 29th, 2001 | | 11:33 pm |
First time
Well here we go. this is my first actual journal entry, so try to hang in there. Toby actually showed me this live journal thing and after reading some of his thought provoking entries I thought i would give it a try. I'll start with today: My wife's aunt and uncle are moving so they had a moving sale today and in the spirit of helping out we hauled as much of our own junk over there as we could. Now if you have never had a moving/garage sale before it is an interesting experience. you get to sit around and have strangers come to your house and size you up by the quality of items your selling. people come from all over the area to see if you have any cameras, watches, kids, or anything else that is "one man's trash is another man's treasure" sort of stuff. the whole ordeal was not to bad except for the people who think it necessary to tell you that "their grandmother used to have dishes just like that" and the great memories that it brings them. Then deciding that paying $2.00 for said "great memories" is to extravagant a price. All and all it wasn't a bad day, i did manage to get a wonderful fog burn on my forehead. |
